Each year, the Omaha Teen Council creates a Sex Ed Zine! A zine is a limited print, self-created book that contains information on a particular subject. Zines are used to inform communities about topics that impact them, and are usually free or low-cost to make them accessible for everyone. We attend the Omaha Zine Fest in order to spread awareness about Teen Council and to sell our zines and other goodies to help fund the Teen Council program.

Planned Parenthood supporters travel to the state capitol building in Lincoln, Nebraska to talk to their senators about bills that they are passionate about. Some of the past bills Teen Council members have lobbied for in the past are an Affirmative Consent bill, a bill that would allow pregnant incarcerated people to be unshackled while they are giving birth, and comprehensive sex education in Omaha.
Teen Council Guest Night is an open-house style event where prospective applicants and members of Teen Council can attend to get to know the program, ask questions of current members and facilitators, and have delicious snacks! Guests can fill out a Teen Council application at the event and are encouraged to play some fun sex ed trivia games!
